I'm not a lover of crab so I can't say I'd be dying to eat this again,
but it was yummy! Fresh, flaky, tender, tasted like...crab. Not much
else to it. I didn't get to taste much of it since I shared one claw
with two friends. If you want to eat it while you're out, bring some kind of crab
cracker with you or you can do what my friend did and smash it against a hard surface (we used the bench).

Streetfood: polser (Norway hotdog)
|
Location: Narvesen (convenience store) at the Bergen Airport
|
----------------------------------------------------
|
City: Bergen
|
Country: Norway
|
Price: No idea
|
Temperature served: Hot
|
Served with: It wasn't necessarily bad; I'm just not a big hot dog fan. This was probably the second hot dog I had eaten all year and I'm from a city full of hot dogs (NYC). I don't think anyone would expect to find the best hot dog at an airport. It was a last minute thing I wanted to try so I could say I ate a hot dog in Norway. The taste wasn't amazing nor bad; it was just...hot dog.

There were served mostly fish
on the marked, various kinds, like salmon, mackerel, herring and lot
more that I dont remember. Unfortunately I dont remember which one we
ate:-) I think it was herring... it was served warm, without anything.
The price was 5 euros/portion. We didnt try anything else, but I know
that the smoked salmon was the best looking and most expensive:-D It
was about 9 euros. There was also possibility to buy some fried potatoes
and fried vegetable and stuff like that.
Taste: dont ask me:-) for me everything is great. Well, the fish we ate
was definitely not the best choice, I believe that salmon must have
been great-but we didnt want to spend so much money..anyway, now I regret
that:-) But Come-Back is definitely high! like 9...
And some description: These pictures were taken in Joensuu, a small town
in eastern Finland. The fish market in Joensuu takes place only twice
a year, I dont know about Helsinki, maybe its more common there. Fish
is served mostly fried, smoked etc, only exceptionally raw. Everything
looks nice, fresh and the whole market is so colourful! Its worth visiting;-)

Streetfood: cinnamon roll
|
Location: a supermarket, not sure of the name (but you can get them at ANY bakery)

City: Bergen

Country: Norway
|
Price: No clue, but it's cheap
|
Temperature served: room temp

A cinnamon roll is a soft, fluffy, sweet rolled up bread with cinnamon in between the folds and coated with sugar. It tastes like an American sticky bun (sorry, don't know how else to describe it) but without the frosting. I think it's better without the frosting since it's not sticky.
In this photo my friends and I bought a bag of cinnamon rolls to take with us on a boating/fishing excursion about half an hour outside of Bergen. Absolutely beautiful. When you go to Norway, make sure you have a friend who has a boat. ;)
